A massage candle is a candle made from skin-safe waxes and oils, such as soy or shea, that melt at a low temperature. Once it has burned for a few minutes, you blow it out and pour or dip the warm, melted oil onto the skin for a massage. It is soft lighting and massage oil in one.
Why it matters when buying
Only use candles sold as massage candles; ordinary candles burn far too hot. Test a drop on the inside of the wrist first, and keep the melted oil away from latex condoms.
