Lube is the cheapest thing in most people’s toy drawer and the one they use most. Prices in India look scattered until you compare them per millilitre: a 30 ml bottle and a 170 ml bottle can cost about the same. At the time of writing we stock 10 lubricants from ₹799 to ₹2,799, and the typical price works out around ₹1,500 per 100 ml. The tables below compare price by bottle and per 100 ml, and they update as our stock changes. For prices across every toy type, see sex toy prices in India; to choose a type, read our lube guide.

What drives the price of a lube
- Base. Silicone lube costs more per millilitre than water-based, but a little goes a long way.
- Bottle size. Small bottles cost more per millilitre. Buy 100 ml or more for home and keep a small one for travel.
- Ingredients. Glycerin-free, pH-balanced and organic formulas cost more to make.
- Extras. Flavours, warming or cooling effects and pump bottles add to the price.
- Brand. Established makers charge more and print a full ingredient list, which matters if your skin is sensitive.

- When it has no ingredient list. You cannot check for the things your skin reacts to.
- When it is an oil or a body lotion. Oils break down latex condoms, and lotions are not made for intimate use; see our lube compatibility chart.
- When it promises to numb, tighten or “last longer”. That is not lube, and numbing hides the pain that tells you to stop.
- When it is a strong warming or flavoured formula and your skin is sensitive. Start plain.
How far a bottle goes
Most people use a teaspoon or two (5 to 10 ml) of water-based lube a time, a little more for anal play or long sessions, and noticeably less of silicone lube. A 100 ml bottle therefore lasts roughly 10 to 20 uses. At around ₹1,700 per 100 ml for water-based lube at the time of writing, that is well under ₹100 a time, which is why it is worth buying a proper lube rather than reaching for whatever is in the bathroom.
Water-based lube can dry out during use. Rather than adding a lot more, a few drops of water bring it back. Keep bottles closed, away from heat and sunlight, and check the expiry date printed on the pack.
