LustSutra publishes guides on sex toys, lubricants, toy care and intimacy for adults in India. This page explains how we write them, what we check, and what we will never claim. If you find something wrong, we want to hear about it.
How our guides are researched
Every guide starts with the facts we can check. We read the maker’s own documentation: manuals, material specifications, charging and care instructions, and ingredient lists for lubricants and cleaners. Where a guide touches on health, such as safer sex, hygiene or materials, we use public health and medical sources, for example the World Health Organization’s sexual health pages and the NHS sexual health pages. When we rely on a specific source for a specific point, we link to it so you can read it yourself.
We write for readers in India. That means prices in rupees, products you can actually buy here, cash on delivery, privacy at home, and plain answers to questions people are often too shy to ask in person.
What we never claim
- We never say a product cures, treats or prevents any medical condition, including erection difficulties, low desire or pain.
- We never promise medical or sexual outcomes, such as lasting longer or guaranteed orgasms.
- We never invent statistics, studies, survey results or expert quotes.
- We never invent customer reviews, ratings, sales numbers or “bestseller” labels.
If you have pain, bleeding, an infection or any other health worry, our guides will always tell you to see a doctor. A guide is not a substitute for medical advice.
How product descriptions are written
Product pages are written in our own words, not copied from other shops. Facts such as material, size, power source, waterproofing and warranty come from the maker or the distributor. When the maker does not state something, we write “not stated by the maker” rather than guess. If we learn that a detail is wrong, we correct the page.
How reviews are collected
- Only verified buyers can review. After your order is delivered, we send you an email asking for a review of what you bought.
- Every genuine review is published, whether it is good or bad.
- Reviews are held for a quick check before they appear, only to remove personal details, spam or abusive language. We do not edit a review to change its meaning.
- We do not pay for reviews or offer discounts in exchange for positive ones.
Written for adults, 21+
Our content is for adults aged 21 and over. We use clear, plain language, avoid explicit images, and treat consent, comfort and safety as part of every topic, not as an afterthought.
Advertising and sponsorship
We do not publish sponsored articles and we do not use affiliate links. No brand pays us to be included in a guide or to be ranked higher. When a guide mentions a product, it is usually one we sell, and we say so openly. We earn money only when you buy from our store.
Corrections and how to report an error
If you spot a factual error, an outdated price, a broken link or something that reads as misleading, email care@lustsutra.com with the page address and what you think is wrong. We reply within 1 working day, check the point, and correct the page if you are right.
